The Best Of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells I, II & III

Following the highly successful extended 50th anniversary celebrations of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells across Europe, the tour 'The Best of Tubular Bells I, II & III' will embark on a European tour in autumn 2026. Mike Oldfield is recognized as one of the most visionary and influential musicians of all time. His Tubular Bells series consists of three albums released over 27 years: the original Tubular Bells from 1971 and 1973, Tubular Bells II in 1992, and Tubular Bells III in 1998. Each album expanded on the groundbreaking themes and theatrical variations that Oldfield composed at age 17, pushing musical boundaries with each release. The upcoming European tour will feature a large live ensemble led and arranged by Robin Smith, Oldfield's long-time musical collaborator. The performance will include the complete Tubular Bells I, expanded parts from II and III, and the worldwide hit 'Moonlight Shadow'. The first Tubular Bells album was created when Oldfield, then just 17 years old, composed and played nearly all instruments himself. It gained global fame after its theme was used for the soundtrack of the horror film 'The Exorcist' and became the best-selling instrumental album ever. The second album, released in 1992, reached number one on the UK charts and was certified double platinum. The third album, inspired by electronic music scenes in Ibiza, came out in 1998. Robin Smith has worked with Oldfield for over three decades and was deeply moved by the music from the first hearing. He has been involved in performances of various Tubular Bells albums at iconic locations including the Edinburgh Castle, Horse Guards Parade, and the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony.
